Update: Co-Parenting during Lockdown

Updated Regulation: Co-parenting during Lockdown
Divorced parents and co-holders of parental rights can now move their children during the Lockdown period in terms of the new Regulations, as announced by the Minister of Social Development, Lindiwe Zulu, on 7 April 2020, provided that:
There are arrangements in place for the children to move from one parent to another in terms of either a Court Order or a Registered Parental Responsibilities and Rights Agreement or Parenting Plan with the Family Advocate;
There is no person who is known to have come into contact with, or is reasonably suspected to have come into contact with a person known to have contracted, or reasonably suspected to have contracted COVID-19 in the household to which the children are to move;
The parent or caregiver transporting the children must have in his/her possession the relevant supporting documentation, either the Court Order or the Agreement referred to, or a certified copy thereof.
